New track unveiled by Alabama Shakes after a ten-year hiatus

After a six-year hiatus, Grammy-winning blues rock band Alabama Shakes is back with a bang. The band has announced a reunion tour for 2025, starting on Sep 04 at Milwaukee's Miller High Life Theatre, WI.

The tour will take the band to various venues across the United States, including Meadow Brooke Amphitheatre, Budweiser Stage, Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica, Stage AE Outdoors, Bourbon & Beyond Festival, MGM Music Hall at Fenway, Forest Hills Stadium, Mann Center for the Performing Arts, The Anthem, Saenger Theatre, Moody Center, 713 Music Hall, and The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory.

The tour comes after Alabama Shakes' return to the stage in February 2023 at Druid City Music Hall in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and a full tour that kicked off in July. The remaining tour dates are not specified in the article.

The new tour features support acts such as Sam Evian, Bahamas, The Budos Band, El Michaels Affair, Greyhounds, and others. The band has not released any original music since the 2015 album, Sound & Color, but they have promised to release more in the near future.

The new recording of "Another Life" features soulful vocals from frontwoman Brittany Howard, bassist Zac Cockrell, and guitarist Heath Fogg, making Alabama Shakes a three-piece band following the arrest of drummer Steven Johnson on child abuse charges in 2021. Johnson was later dismissed, but he had previously been asked to resign from the band.

In a statement, Brittany Howard revealed that "Another Life" is about the lives we carry, the choices we make, and the connections between different versions of ourselves. The song is a powerful testament to the band's ability to create music that resonates with listeners.

Alabama Shakes, with their unique blend of soul, rock, and blues, are sure to put on a spectacular show. Fans are eagerly awaiting the tour dates and the release of more music from the band.

Stay tuned for more updates on Alabama Shakes' 2025 tour. In the meantime, listen to "Another Life" and get a taste of what's to come.
